Our mission is to increase the success rate of small businesses. Traditional banking has been a growth limiter rather than a growth enabler for business owners, and we’re changing that. Relay is the all-in-one, collaborative money management platform. We’re building for employer SMBs and their finance function, internal and external, and are focused on delivering a human-centric customer experience. Ultimately, we help SMBs be ‘on the money'.

Relay is scaling fast, and winning top talent is the fuel that keeps us going. As our first-ever Talent Attractor, you’ll be the first spark in our recruiting engine. You’ll research, find, connect, and convert the best talent before they even know they’re looking. You’ll own the top of the funnel: mapping markets, telling our story, and turning passive talent into engaged candidates.

This isn’t an administrative role. We’re looking for someone who thrives on urgency, curiosity, and experimentation. Someone who uses data, creativity, and hustle to make a measurable impact every day. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prospecting & Research: Proactively generate high-value talent pools, map markets, attend and host networking events, identify sponsorship opportunities for Relay in the community, and build strategic pipelines

  • AI-Driven Recruiting: Leverage AI tools to supercharge sourcing, outreach, and market research, using automation to scale volume while improving personalization and conversion

  • Outbound Campaigns: Own creative and tailored outreach across email, LinkedIn, and niche channels that get noticed, spark curiosity, and convert top talent

  • Storytelling: Be Relay’s first voice in the talent market; lead the initial conversations, ignite excitement, and inspire candidates to want to join our mission

  • Conversion Metrics: Track and optimize every step - outreach, to response, to screen, to recruiter handoff - ensuring your efforts turn into real-world impact

  • Experimentation: Test, iterate, and learn. Run A/B experiments on messaging, channels, and targeting, then double down on what works to improve results continuously

  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Talent Acquisition Partners, delivering calibrated candidates who are ready to interview and move quickly through the funnel

Who You Are

  • You have 3+ years of experience as a talent sourcer, researcher, or recruiter who thrives at the top of the funnel

  • You may also come from another field like sales, growth/marketing, or competitive intelligence, bringing strong research, storytelling, and prospecting skills ​​

  • You’re metrics-obsessed and you love seeing conversion rates tick upward and believe data is the truth

  • You’re a creative prospector who knows sourcing isn’t just LinkedIn profiles. You love discovering new channels, testing bold approaches, and seeing what sticks

  • You’re a storyteller who can hook someone in 30 seconds and get them curious about what we’re building at Relay

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment where urgency and experimentation are the norm

  • You enjoy collaborating with Talent Acquisition Partners and also love the autonomy of being the first touch that sparks a candidate’s journey

What Success Looks Like

  • 75-100 quality outbound reachouts per week with ≥33% response rate

  • ≥35-40% recruiter pass-through rate from screens

  • ≤5 days to calibrate per new role

  • ≥33% of total hires come from sourced pipelines

  • At least 1 new sourcing/channel experiment per month

The Interview Process

  • Stage 1: A 30-minute Google Meet video call with a member of the Talent team

  • Stage 2: A 45-minute Google Meet video call with the Director, People

  • Stage 3: A 30-minute Google Meet video call with a member of the Leadership team

  • Stage 4: A take-home case study followed by a 60-minute in-person presentation to our Talent Leadership team
