About the role

We’re looking for a part-time Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our remote team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing full-cycle payroll for our Canadian and US employees, overseeing benefits administration, and maintaining our HRIS. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, has a strong understanding of payroll compliance, and wants to play a key role in supporting employees’ pay and benefits experience.

What you’ll do

  • Manage full-cycle payroll for Canadian and US employees, including data entry, updates, calculations, and remittances.
  • Prepare and deliver payroll reporting (regular and ad-hoc) and support year-end activities (T4s, W2s, payroll tax forms, workers’ compensation).
  • Administer government forms and compliance requirements, including ROEs, T2200s, and other employee-related tax and employment forms.
  • Administer employee benefits through Sun Life, including onboarding, offboarding, and changes/updates.
  • Own administration of our HRIS (BambooHR), including employee profile updates, changes, and terminations.
  • Respond to employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and keep processes up to date.


What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years of full-cycle payroll experience (Canadian required; US payroll experience an asset).
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now (preferred) or other payroll platforms.
  • Experience with group benefits administration; Sun Life experience an asset.
  • HRIS experience (BambooHR preferred, or similar system).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on clear, employee-centered support.
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity, handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
