In this role, you’ll act as the primary point of contact between the editorial team and Queen’s faculty members. Our journal relies on the expertise of faculty for manuscript review, mentorship, and event participation, and the Academic Liaison plays a crucial role in maintaining these partnerships.

Our ideal candidate will be highly organized, an excellent communicator, and comfortable engaging with professors and academic staff. A commitment to academic integrity and enthusiasm for fostering collaboration between students and faculty are essential.

Academic Liaison Responsibilities

  • Contact and coordinate with Queen’s faculty members to participate in faculty review of submissions
  • Recruit and confirm faculty involvement in journal events, including panels, workshops, and launch activities
  • Serve as the primary bridge between the editorial team and academic faculty, ensuring strong communication and collaboration
  • Maintain professional correspondence with faculty, providing them with necessary details, updates, and deadlines
  • Work closely with the Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief to align faculty involvement with editorial needs
  • Ensure that faculty expertise is integrated into the review process to uphold academic standards and integrity
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with faculty to strengthen the journal’s academic reputation
