VOLUNTEER POSITION
Heart & Stroke Members (positions below)
Work with other committee members to brainstorm, plan, advertise and execute events to fundraise and raise awareness for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Help spread awareness about the benefits of good heart health and the importance of fitness through creative and engaging events. Join an exciting committee in engaging the Queen’s community in maintain good health practices during the school year.

Time Commitment and Responsibilities:
An approximately 8-month term from September 2025 to April 2026 with a time commitment of 2-3 hours per week
- Regularly attend committee meetings that will occur weekly or biweekly
- Attend scheduled events before, during and after to set up, execute and cleanup
- Accomplish delegated and assigned tasks based on specific portfolios
Roles and Responsibilities:
Marketing Coordinators
- Responsible for advertising Heart & Stroke events, social media pages, submitting graphic requests to ASUS, and the creation of our own graphics.
- Participate in weekly Heart & Stroke meetings (1 hour).
Sponsorship Coordinators
- Responsible for reaching out to establishments for gifts to give to those individuals who help make Heart & Stroke events happen (athletes, yoga instructor, etc.) as well as items for giveaways and
incentives. - Participate in weekly Heart & Stroke meetings (1 hour).
Outreach Coordinators
- Responsible for going into local schools and camps and giving Heart Healthy presentations in coordination with the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
- Responsible for Heart Month content (circuits and facts), as well as prof talks.
- Participate in weekly Heart & Stroke meetings (1 hour).
Project Managers
- Are mainly involved in event planning/related logistics
- Going off what events co-chairs are hoping to execute, managers will be people who co-chairs work closest with regarding booking places for events, reaching out to other committees/clubs to help, as well as setting up the events (coordinating layout and organization at locations to facilitate the events)
- Take meeting minute notes of each team meeting

- Ensure that events take into account the principles of EDIIA.
