We are looking for our first full-time finance hire to manage our bookkeeping and work closely with our outsourced accounting partner to maintain our financials. This role will play a foundational part in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the company’s operational and strategic growth. 

Who We’re Looking For 

You are detail-oriented, energetic, and thrive in fast-paced environments. You take pride in accuracy and organization, while bringing a proactive, can-do attitude to solving problems. This role will report into our fractional Controller & Finance Consultant which means that our ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, but also loves collaborating with a team in order to make things more efficient and streamlined.

As a Bookkeeper with Juno you will:

  • Own the full-cycle bookkeeping at Juno using QuickBooks Online. This includes managing accounts payable and receivable, recording and reconciling expenses across bank and credit card accounts, processing invoices, monitoring cash flow, and maintaining an accurate general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and continuities for all balance sheet accounts and selected P&L items, with variance explanations.
  • Process payroll via an external payroll provider.
  • Prepare and file payroll and sales tax remittances in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the outsourced accounting partner to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and refine internal financial processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Partner internally across the Juno team to streamline financial operations and support growth initiatives. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online & Microsoft Excel.
  • Canadian Payroll Certification (PCP) preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and collaborative abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and good judgment.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive, adaptable mindset suited for a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.

The role of Bookkeeper at Juno is a full-time position. This position can be fully remote but must operate on Eastern Standard Time. This role will also require interaction with vendors, third parties and members of the Juno team. Further, this role may require evening and weekend work on an infrequent basis.
