Role description: 

This is a 12-month contract role. 

Supporting the design, development and delivery of the Content and Channel Strategy for Arcadis. Ensuring employee communication channels are managed effectively and content is optimized, scheduled and targeted effectively.

Reports directly to the Global Communication Director, Employee Content, Channels & Engagement

Role accountabilities: 

Stakeholder management

 

Editor / Contributor community management

  • Work with Country/GBA IC leads, GSSC and Enabling Functions to manage global list of editors and site permissions for global channels
  • Onboarding editors with hands-on training and guidance for global channels
  • Front-line support for technical queries and out of scope self-service requests

 

Internal Communication Community of Practice - Content scheduling & curation for global channels

  • Liaise with GBA and in-country Corporate Comms team to source content aligned to editorial priorities for global channels
  • Ensure pipeline of content that is inclusive of global organization and resonates with strategic priorities

 

Business leaders

  • Supporting delivery and publication of content aligned to ELT priorities
  • Sourcing and drafting news content and strategic updates from global leadership

 

Wider Marcomms and extended content creator communities

  • Alignment and collaboration with external comms and digital marketing on content creation and scheduling
  • Connection with Talent Acquisition and other content stakeholders to share and produce content for multiple channels and audiences

 

Strategic programmes

  • Work with Strategy Implementation Director Community and Global Comms Director, Strategic Programmes, to explore integrated communication activities aligned to content and channel strategy

 

Global Shared Services Center(s) 

  • Manage relationship with colleagues in Arcadis Global Shared Services Team to support development and delivery of business-critical communication and content
  • Briefing in project and content requests

 

Channel technical support and governance

 

  • Member of system administrator team for global internal communication channels
  • Management and maintenance of site architecture and creation of new pages/topics for Arcadis global channels
  • Oversight of global distribution lists and audience / topic groups
  • Ensure adherence to brand and template standards
  • Audit of site content to remove expired pages and documents
  • Publication and production of content for global channels (EDMs, Global Webinars, Firstup, Intranet, CampaignMaster) Support and enforce alignment to channel and content strategies

 

Content creation

  • Manage priority global content calendar
  • Scheduling and publication of content and campaigns for internal channels
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Marketing and Communications team – and our non-Comms community owners – to source, create and curate informative and entertaining content to engage Arcadians
  • Track the effectiveness of content and recommend and implement optimizations where applicable
  • Assist in the identification and promotion of best practice content from existing topics to promote to the global feed
  • Curate multi-media content such as video, photography and animation to enhance digital/online content working with the Digital Marketing, Brand and Campaigns and Corporate Communication teams.
  • Ensure content meets the Arcadis tone of voice and brand guidelines
  • Support a self-service model for where applicable – providing advice, training, developing and maintaining communication toolkits to other functions so they can effectively manage their own content and pages. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Tech team and external suppliers to improve current and future experience and to successfully introduce new and improved tools and ways of working
  • Support the Global Communications Directors to plan and curate content for publishing by the Executive Leadership Team 
  • Provide regular reporting based on channel analytics and data to inform future content and channel decisions
  • Work with the social team to help integrate external and internal communications, planning and sharing content across the breadth of Arcadis’ channels
  • Support content delivery and crisis response where appropriate

 

Key shared accountabilities 

  • Works with the Channels and Content team and GBA Communication Directors to support content and production 
  • Expert source of content expertise for the internal communications community
  • Collaborates with digital marketing to share ideas and best practice related to integrated content across internal and external channels (e.g. Instagram and LinkedIn) 

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in internal or corporate communications
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft 365 (including Teams)
  • Experience managing intranet or internal communication channels
  • Background in content planning, scheduling, and publishing for global audiences


Nice to have:

  • Experience in large or international organizations
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools
  • Exposure to change management or digital adoption
  • Experience launching or enhancing communication platforms
  • Relevant certifications
  • Multimedia content creation (video, photography, animation)

The salary range for this position is $89,600 - $112,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
