Role description:
The Arcadis Toronto office is looking for a Studio Manager to join our Healthcare team. You will work in highly qualified team of healthcare architects, medical planners and interior designers working on a variety of healthcare projects in Ontario, as well as across Canada and internationally. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and development of healthcare facilities along with engaging clients and teams delivering creative solutions. This position provides an opportunity to work with collaborative teams throughout various project stages delivering innovative healthcare solutions for our clients. Candidates should be experienced in all phases of healthcare planning and design and looking to accept a leadership role.
Role accountabilities:
- Together with the Practice Group Manager, ensure efficient oversight and management of a Studio consisting of 5-8 team members.
- Develop and coach Studio members to achieve high performance, growth, and personal development.
- Accountability for resource utilization, project delivery, and profitability of Studio team members.
- Support the growth objectives of the Healthcare Practice Group and facilitate cross-studio collaboration.
- Review drawings and specifications for quality control and mentoring staff in applicable building codes and construction details.
- Work individually or part of a larger team depending on the size of the project to complete feasibility studies, development permit applications, building permit applications and contract documents for tender.
- Meet with clients and represent the firm at various working groups.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10-15 years of experience in the field of healthcare architecture.
- Experience managing and mentoring a team of architects, technologists and designers.
- Experience in client engagement.
- Excellent communication skills.
