Job Description

We are seeking a 3rd year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student to work within our Development Engineering Team, for an 8 month Co-op Term. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members in providing support to various products manufactured at S&C and will gain exposure to engineering design principles as well as manufacturing techniques.

Work Term: Starting Winter 2026 for an 8 month term (Jan - Aug)
Work Arrangement: Onsite 5x per week (Mon - Fri)
Work Location: 90 Belfield Rd., Etobicoke, ON

Job Responsibilities

  • Design revisions using Solid Edge 3D CAD software.
  • Support Development Team projects; exposure to mechanics, electronics, high power electrical, software and systems engineering.
  • Investigate product designs to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist with product testing (mechanical, electrical, software).
  • Responsible for managing short duration projects from initial concept to prototyping to implementation.


Qualifications

  • 3rd or 4th year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student with a strong interest in power systems engineering.
  • Able to work for an 8 Month Co-op Work Term starting Winter 2026 (Jan - Aug).
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • A team player who is also able work to independently under supervision of a senior team member.
  • Structured problem-solving experience and exposure to Lean principles.
  • Quick learner.
  • Experience using 3D modelling tools such as, Solid Edge, is a strong asset.
  • Experience with product development testing, an asset.
