Position Summary:
Under general direction of the Manager and with a dotted line to the AVP, Divisional Relations the Advisor provides support within the broad Divisional Relations portfolio. The Divisional Relations office provides leadership, strategic direction, and priority setting to the development and implementation of the University’s operations supporting divisional fundraising and campaigns in order to grow fundraising performance, build organizational capacity, instill best fundraising practices, and further integration of development and alumni engagement goals, across the University’s multiple divisions and campuses.
The incumbent is responsible for an array of processes and initiatives to support the appointment of divisional advancement leaders and their life cycle processes to include: coordinates the executive searches for divisional advancement leads, supports the Assistant Vice President, Divisional Relations (AVP) and Executive Director, Divisional Relations (ED) in their role for onboarding and integration of new divisional leaders to the University and to their role as an advancement leader, works with AVP, ED, Divisional PSEC partners and DUA Talent Management to develop custom-designed experiences that enable a new leader to integrate more fully and rapidly, supports the AVP and ED in the Annual Review Process for advancement leaders.
In conjunction with key partners such as divisional PSEC, DUA Talent Management, the incumbent works with the AVP and ED to ensure the development of a proactive plan to support growth in HR divisional leadership and growth during periods such as a campaign. This includes looking at retention issues, retirement planning and other proactive information in support of proactive HR planning for the divisional leadership roles.
Qualifications Required:
Education:
- University degree with some postsecondary education in project or human resources management, or related degree or diploma, or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as an advisor in human resources areas, including employee recruitment, onboarding, performance review and employee engagement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current human resources 'best practices'.
Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to successful outcomes based on clear objectives.
