From a leadership point of view, the successful candidate must have a history of collaborative leadership in any forum and a strong track record of mentoring junior faculty and trainees. Opportunities to be cross appointed to the Division of Orthopedic Surgery or Division of Neurosurgery will be considered based on the candidates training.
Academic expertise in conducting clinical trials, health services research, quality improvement, education research, and translational ‘bench-to-clinic’ discovery research will be considered. As a member of the Department of Surgery and the University of Toronto, the candidate is expected to participate in education of learners at all levels.
The successful candidate will join an academic Division of Spine Surgery.
