What will your typical day look like?
• Design, develop, and implement data models and integration workflows to support system conversions and migrations.
• Analyze and document data integration points, operational workflows, and dependencies across platforms (with a focus on Aladdin or similar systems).
• Build scalable, reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python that process data from multiple sources.
• Establish and enforce data governance practices, including data quality standards and metadata management.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements related to asset classes, trade lifecycle, portfolio accounting, performance measurement, and reconciliation workflows.
• Develop and execute ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, including data profiling, cleansing, and transformation scripting.
• Automate data integration and conversion processes using scripting and relevant automation tools.
• Support CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines for data conversion and integration solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues related to conversion and integration activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide training/support to end users as required.
About the team
We are seeking a highly motivated Consultant to join our AI and Data team, specializing in Conversion Support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data modeling, integration points, and operational workflows, with prior experience working with Aladdin being highly advantageous. You will play a critical role in supporting data migration and conversion initiatives for our asset management clients, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data modeling, data integration, and operational workflow design.
• Prior experience with BlackRock Aladdin or similar asset management platforms is highly desirable.
• Solid knowledge of programming fundamentals—algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and paradigms Strong knowledge of one or more modern object-oriented languages (Python, Java, Go, etc.)
• Strong understanding of asset classes, trade lifecycle, portfolio accounting, performance measurement, and reconciliation workflows.
• Proficiency in ETL tools and data integration techniques.
• Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and transformation scripting (e.g., Python, SQL).
• Solid knowledge SQL and relationship databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Sybase, etc.)
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for data integration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
• Experience working in financial services, specifically asset management or investment operations.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
