Analyst or Associate, Global Equity Derivatives and Investor Solutions - Toronto

Purpose:
Our team provides clients with flexible and customizable investments that provide investors exposure to a wide variety of payout strategies and asset classes. As part of one of Canada’s leading Structured Notes teams, the successful candidate will leverage the Bank’s structured notes platform to deliver clients access to leading ideas, products, and investment solutions. This role is suitable for a quantitively minded financial professional with an entrepreneurial disposition and the drive to win market share in a competitive market environment. With a limited hierarchy and a small team approach, the candidate will have ample opportunity for career growth and development.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the full lifecycle of structured notes including idea generation, pricing, execution, documentation, and post-trade support
- Stay abreast of current market trends and competing product offerings to develop appropriate, customized investment solutions to suit the needs of prospects and clients
- Create reports, marketing material, educational pieces and market colour based on current market trends and competing product offerings.
- Work with team members, product partners and control functions to develop the structured notes platform and identify process automation and other business improvement opportunities
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisionsSupport the sales efforts for structured notes while adhering to industry regulations and best practices as well as internal compliance, governance and general guidelines for conduct and behaviour.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 1 year financial services experience or other relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or related field.
- Excellent in Microsoft Office, Strong programming skills (including VBA, Python, SQL). Additional programming experience (R, C#, Java) or with PowerBI is considered an asset.
- Strong relationship skills, interpersonal, and communication skills and an ability to present and defend a view to audiences of varying technical backgrounds
- Self-starter, proactive, detail-oriented and diligent with a desire to develop business
- Posses a positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a high performing culture, under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines
- Hard-working, with the ability to work independently as well as to perform effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Understanding of capital markets products, derivative pricing, and structured notes
Work Arrangement:
This position is currently an on-site role, with the expectation that you will work 5 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
