The impact you will have:

 

As a Solution Architect you will play a pivotal role in architecting technology solutions tailored to meet specific business requirements.  You will ensure that your solutions are cohesive, efficient, and aligned with the enterprise architecture roadmaps.  As a technology leader, you will provide technical guidance and support to the application architects, Business System Analysts, and development teams involved in the projects.  You will also present your solution to the architecture review board and get it approved by the project’s stakeholders.  In addition, you will be assisting with platform, domain, and line of business architecture roadmaps.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Work on multiple projects at once
  • Be responsible for the analysis, architecture, and product selection of complex components
  • Lead and define the overall solution architecture for large projects
  • Evaluate business requirements to identify and describe alternative solution options to meet the customer requirements
  • Ensure the solution for the new projects are in alignment with project budget, functional and non-functional requirements, and the enterprise architecture roadmaps
  • Participate in and present your solutions to the architecture review board
  • Be the subject matter expert, guide technology decisions, and leverage efficiency opportunities
  • Drive design for a secure efficient, and adaptable future state architecture
  • Help to define technology standards, guidelines, and frameworks
  • Create, enrich, maintain, and evolve documentation including diagrams, guidelines, architecture patterns, and templates
  • Provide technical leadership to developers, technical analysts, and less experienced architects
  • Assist with the technology strategy and capabilities roadmap creation to support the business strategy
  • Influence decisions within and outside of the technology tower
  • Assist with providing high level cost estimates
  • Assist with defining the project scope, plans, and deliverables including cost and timelines
  • Develop and deliver presentations to various levels of the organization, including senior level, as required
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and security
  • Review and approve detailed technical documents for delivery teams
  • Review plans for testing requirements to validate system design
  • Apply defined guidelines to effectively manage risk
  • Recommend lifecycle roadmap of complex products
  • Work with vendors to develop options and provide recommendations
  • Participate in the review of industry standards
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of intellectual capital assets
  • Ensure support is available and acts as escalation point of specified technologies
  • Build and maintain wide internal contact network
  • Be an expert on one or more areas of technology
  • Act as a consultant on complex issues

What you’ll bring to the table:

 

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in solution architecture
  • 8+ years experience in technology domain
  • Previous experience in software design and development
  • Experience with MACH architecture
  • Previous experience with Salesforce, SAP, and MuleSoft is an asset
  • Previous experience with digital platforms is an asset
  • Proficiency in software architecture, design patterns, and system integration
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Working knowledge of common and widely used architecture patterns
  • Excellent analytics and communications skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to balance technical feasibility with business needs
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with architecture modeling languages such as UML, or ArchiMate
  • TOGAF certification is a strong asset
