Could you be the full-time Installation Engineering Manager in Toronto, ON, we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and leadership expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and solution-oriented teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in transforming the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas' (GTHA) public transit system while reducing its carbon footprint. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, such as Field Operations Managers, Installation Supervisors, and Site Managers, to ensure the seamless execution of installation engineering activities. You’ll also oversee the development of documentation in compliance with signalling standards and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of organizing and leading the Onboard Installation Engineering team, but also ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs aligned with project objectives.
We’ll look to you for:

Developing and maintaining Installation Engineering competencies through recruitment, training, and mentorship

Ensuring the deployment and application of Installation Engineering activities in alignment with Alstom's processes

Leading and coordinating the Installation Engineering studies and activities

Providing schedules, workload forecasts, and validation cycles for deliverables
-
Supporting cost estimation, workload reviews, and risk mitigation strategies
-
Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to gather data and deliver results
-
Identifying and reporting on documentation issues and contributing to continuous improvement
-
Ensuring compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and regulatory standards

Master's Degree in Engineering

5+ years of experience in design or engineering

Experience in Onboard ETCS (European Train Control System) Signalling Engineering and deployment

Strong knowledge of railway products and services across various market segments

Basic experience in railway site management

Experience managing projects with Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives

Knowledge of BIM/Digital Installation Procedures and design tools
