Position overview

The Technical Operations Lead is responsible for team productivity, organization and accuracy related to the flow of broadcast equipment and services.
Working at Dome Productions Oakville location, the Technical Operations Lead brings a pro-active, hand-on approach to ensure work quality meets expected criteria. 
The Warehouse Team is an on-call department that maintains a seven day a week shift schedule. This group is focused on deployment and inventory management of all types of broadcast equipment and provides services primarily for Maintenance Engineering and Logistics departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides technical guidance to the team as it relates to the assembly and preparation of a broad range of television production equipment
  • Provides training for new and existing team members. Contributes to evolution and development of training programs
  • Works closely with various Engineering and Logistic team members on daily plans, priorities and problem resolution
  • Contributes to quality assurance through inspection and review of work performed by others
  • Prioritize multiple tasks occurring on the same day. Gather required knowledge from leaders and other coworkers to ensure that the correct priority is given to each event
  • Drives enhanced productivity by balancing individual work assignments, timelines and prioritization
  • Evaluates and understands equipment lists for event additional requirements to formulate preparation steps in advance of shipping
  • Processes and reflects progress made on event additionals lists in Dome’s electronic system
  • Ensures the team maintains prescribed standards for shipping, packaging and loading equipment

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
  • Strong technical knowledge as it pertains to television production equipment
  • Experience leading small teams and navigating decision making based on priorities
  • Must be detailed-orientated, multi-tasking, self-directed with proven ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure and deadlines
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of safety precautions relating to equipment operation, loading and unloading of materials 
  • VimBiz knowledge

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
