The opportunity
As a Fullstack Developer at the AI Centre of Excellence (COE) within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer at EY, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of robust fullstack solutions for advanced AI applications. Your role will involve building scalable web interfaces and backend systems, integrating machine learning models, and optimizing workflows for performance and reliability. You’ll collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable, and production-ready code. Your key responsibilities
- Fullstack Development: Assist in the design, development, and deployment of fullstack applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness across the UI and backend.
- UI/UX Integration: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that integrate AI outputs effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders and backend teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver robust solutions.
- Code Quality: Maintain high standards of code quality through best practices and participate in code reviews.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues across the fullstack, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to development processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in fullstack development and UI/UX design, applying them to enhance existing applications.
- Compliance and Accessibility: Ensure that the application adheres to accessibility standards and implement security best practices to protect sensitive client data.
Skills and attributes for success
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in fullstack development, with a focus on UI/UX integration and application performance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in frontend frameworks such as React or Angular, and strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript. Familiarity with backend technologies (e.g., Python, .NET) is a plus.
- Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap). Understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle technical challenges.
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
