Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Mental Health Services

Location: Kingston, Ontario
Permanent Part-Time and Full-Time Positions available
Eligible for $5K Sign-On Bonus and up to $15K Relocation Allowance

Inpatient Mental Health Services:
As a member of the Inpatient Mental Health Nursing Team, you will work in a dynamic, recovery-oriented environment that supports individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges. Our units provide care for patients with a range of psychiatric diagnoses, including mood disorders, psychosis, and concurrent disorders.
You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed, person-centered care that promotes stabilization, safety, and recovery. Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced nurse, KHSC offers a comprehensive orientation and mentorship program to support your transition and professional growth in mental health nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.
- Conduct mental status assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Support patients and families through education, advocacy, and therapeutic communication.
- Contribute to a safe and respectful environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Basic Qualifications:
- Eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Demonstrated interest or experience in mental health nursing.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Satisfactory criminal reference check required.
