ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Assistant Manager, Retail Marketing, you will play a key role on the SEPHORA Canada Marketing team, supporting the execution of our Marketing and business priorities within stores. Directly reporting to the Manager, Retail Marketing Marketing, you are responsible for critical Marketing programs that support the growth and objectives of our Canadian store network. This is a highly collaborative role, in close partnership with US Retail counterparts, Canadian Production, Visual Merchandising and Retail Operations, you will balance the execution of leverage and local work to develop elevated, on-brand store collateral and retail theater in new and existing stores. Our retail environments are the heartbeat of our experience, as a passionate Retail Marketing expert, you will make sure the client experience in every store is elevated and uniquely Sephora – making it easy and exciting to shop with us.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Drive for an elevated on—brand experience in all Sephora stores across Canada
- Ideate new and bold opportunities to create excitement and joy in our stores, working in partnership with Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, Store Events, Integrated Marketing, Production & Creative
- Manage and maintain annual collateral calendars for Retail Marketing
- Support the day-to-day management of the Retail Marketing budget
- Oversee the database of unique window or exterior Marketing placements across full CA store fleet. Ensure collateral is up to date with the newest and/or most relevant collateral
Support Store Network with Marketing efforts that sustain traffic
- In partnership with the Retail Manager, develop an annual support plan that can be activated to drive additional awareness or traffic into lower performing doors
- Execute new local fixtures, distinct offers or GWPs to support existing store network
- Build out Mall Marketing database across national doors with key contacts and available real estate
- Drive opportunities for low-effort high impact Mall Marketing, ensuring elevated placements across store network
- Engage with Retail Operations, RDs and Store Directors to capture data and feedback to inform sustain and support plans for doors
Retail Activation
- In partnership with Manager and Retail Services Team, establish clear objectives and focus for Marketing Beauty services
- Develop and execute a full-year strategy to support Sephora’s beauty services, balancing leverage collateral and local amplification
- Support Retail Marketing manager with holistic and strategic execution of high impact retail campaigns, including holiday
- Represent CA in leverage campaigns to execute CA collateral across national doors
- In partnership with Brand Marketing, align on relevant placements for new/launching brands to generate buzz and excitement in-store
- Drive the execution of CA promotional collateral for all local and leveraged promotions
- In partnership with Marketing Production, lead the briefing and execution of local fixture refreshes
Lead Strategy & Execution for New Store Opening & Future Footprint Marketing Campaigns
- Develop the integrated strategy to drive awareness and traffic into New Store Openings or renovated doors across Canada. Driving cross-functional alignment on budget and execution.
- Project lead for every NSO or FFP campaign, creating an integrated plan across channels and partners and making sure it comes to life seamlessly
- Deliver Marketing reporting for NSOs and FFP, with a focus on paid media performance, working in partnership with Retail Operations to add additional support is stores are unperforming
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Passion for Retail Marketing and all things beauty!
- Experience in executing best-in-class retail theater in multiple doors, with an understanding of visual merchandising and retail operations
- Experience working with creative, media and production agencies
- Highly collaborative and agile, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive excellence through teamwork and partnership
- Ability to manage a budget with an understanding of financial acumen
- Experience working in an integrated marketing process, with an ability to lead cross-functional campaigns and paid media
- A pulse on retail and culture with a passion for breakthrough and innovative Marketing, especially in-store
- Comfortably can navigate through complex organizational dynamics and constantly evolving processes confidently, while building partnerships to meet shared objectives.
