Job Description

Guidewire Functional Business Analyst bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions within Guidewire InsuranceSuite. They analyze requirements, design solutions, and facilitate the implementation and testing of Guidewire configurations, customizations, and integrations. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with expertise in Guidewire products and insurance business processes.
Key Responsibilities:Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for Guidewire implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
Solution Design:
Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and other design documents, ensuring alignment with Guidewire's capabilities and best practices.
Configuration and Customization:
Configure, customize, and test Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter) to meet specific business needs.
Testing and Implementation:
Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and the overall implementation process, ensuring that the solution meets defined requirements.
Documentation and Communication:
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of requirements, configurations, and workflows. Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to stakeholders.
Training and Support:
Provide training and ongoing support to users on new Guidewire features and functionalities.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Troubleshoot issues related to Guidewire applications and work with development teams to resolve them.
Staying Updated:
Continuously monitor industry trends, Guidewire enhancements, and best practices to improve system efficiency and user experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Guidewire Expertise:
Strong understanding of Guidewire InsuranceSuite, particularly PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
Insurance Domain Knowledge:
Familiarity with insurance business processes, ideally Property & Casualty.
