The Reporting and Analytics Specialist requires a strong understanding of our business and business needs, both in Group Sales and Corporate Management, and an understanding of what we do and why. As such, there will be regular contact with our Field Sales team. With this understanding, this position handles various reporting needs for results and business tracking and works with the Field to ensure accurate data is maintained. They may also be expected to own various promotional programs for Field compensation
This position requires strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite, Power BI, and exceptional analytical skills to translate the business data into meaningful reporting.
What you will do
- Produce and maintain reporting around key performance metrics, involving advanced calculations, logic, and ensuring data accuracy
- Identify and investigate data outliers and anomalies and adjust results appropriately, and identify opportunities to improve quality and integrity
- Create customized ad hoc reports using Power BI, Excel, Salesforce, and Access
- Communicate directly with sales leaders and senior management to complete reporting requirements, troubleshoot errors, and address special requests while seeking to understand the business needs
- Act as a key business liaison to Group Field Offices and provide support where required
- Challenge the status quo to support process improvements, business growth and operational efficiencies
- Partner with various business areas to audit and validate sales results
What you will bring
- Understanding, or experience in, Group Benefits and Group Retirement Services
- Post-Secondary degree or equivalent with 2 or more years of analytical, problem-solving work experience preferably in professional service
- Demonstrated strong analytical and technical skills – specifically in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros), Access, Power BI
- Well-developed organizational skills with an ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, and meet conflicting deadlines for various business unitsExperience with Salesforce would be an assetStrong mathematical skills and financial aptitude
- English/French bilingual would be an asset but is not required

The base salary for this position is between $50,400 - $ 83,900 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
