Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solutions Architect to lead architectural planning and solution development for a strategic initiative focused on cloud-native applications tailored for digital media platforms. This role is critical in ensuring that all technical solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and support long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Planning & Development
    • Lead the design and development of architecture across diverse IT and network environments.
    • Drive architectural decisions that support scalability, performance, and security.
  • Enterprise Alignment
    • Design integrated solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and strategic objectives.
    • Ensure consistency and compatibility across systems and platforms.
  • Solution Specification
    • Develop detailed specifications for new applications and service offerings.
    • Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Technology Assessment & Integration
    • Evaluate proposed technologies for compatibility and integration within existing systems.
    • Ensure cohesive architecture across all components of the solution.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture or enterprise systems design.
  • Proven ability to lead architectural initiatives in complex IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and cloud-native technologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in digital media technologies and scalable application design.
  • Knowledge of microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Ability to mentor junior architects and collaborate across engineering and product teams.

Working Conditions:

  • Type of job: Temporary Contractor – 1 year with the possibility to extend
  • Work hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Location: Toronto, ON
