As a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern, you’ll develop hands-on expertise in safeguarding OT systems that support vital infrastructure. You’ll aid in appraising industrial control systems, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with established frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST, Cyber Kill Chain). This position provides an opportunity to contribute to major infrastructure initiatives while honing your technical and consulting proficiencies in a global corporation. You’ll grasp the integration of cybersecurity with engineering, operations, and strategy, mentored by experienced consultants molding the future of digital and physical infrastructure.

The Opportunity

  • We seek students who are diligent, meticulous, and passionate about cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.

  • Interest in OT/ICS cybersecurity, network security, and risk assessment.

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, frameworks, or standards (IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001).

  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning or penetration testing concepts.

  • Comfortable working with technical data and summarizing insights for different audiences.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Collaborative approach, with ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future

Is this role right for you?

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or other related fields.

  • Coursework or projects involving OT, SCADA, IoT/IIoT, or industrial networks an asset.

Toronto Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Toronto is $21 to $38 per hour. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
