Park Hyatt Toronto seeks a motivated and passionate Culinary Intern to join our dynamic culinary team. This internship offers hands-on experience in our pastry and savoury kitchens, providing an opportunity to develop and refine culinary skills in a luxury hotel environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our talented chefs to deliver exceptional food experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the culinary team in daily food preparation tasks, including ingredient prepping, cooking, and plating for pastry and savoury dishes.
- Ensure workstations and kitchen areas are kept clean, sanitized, and organized, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Participate in menu tastings and offer creative input for savoury and pastry dishes.
- Follow established recipes and standards to ensure consistent food preparation and presentation quality.
- Work closely with the culinary team, fostering a positive work environment and contributing to team success.
- Currently enrolled in a recognized culinary program or a recent graduate looking for hands-on experience.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
- A strong interest in culinary arts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for food, creativity, and continuous learning.
