Job Description

Job Title: Automation Lead

Location: PCS CA~TORONTO

Years of Experience: 10-15 Years

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation Lead to spearhead our end-to-end UI and backend automation strategy. The ideal candidate will design and architect scalable automation frameworks while providing technical leadership to offshore automation engineers. This role requires a strong background in Java and a deep understanding of automation best practices, particularly within the banking or financial services sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of UI and backend automation strategies.
  • Design and architect scalable automation frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to offshore automation engineers.
  • Define automation standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
  • Review automation scripts to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
  • Coordinate with onsite stakeholders, product owners, and developers to identify automation scope and prepare an automation roadmap.
  • Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage automation-related risks, blockers, and escalations.
  • Provide regular status updates and metrics to leadership.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
  • Expertise in Java and automation framework design.
  • Experience using IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Strong knowledge of Maven build and dependency management.
  • Experience in UI and backend/API automation.
  • Knowledge of test frameworks (TestNG / Cucumber).
  • Experience working in banking or financial services projects.
  • Strong understanding of test automation best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Experience with API testing tools (REST Assured, Postman).
  • Database validation using SQL.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
