About the role
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering Salesforce solutions that enhance customer engagement and streamline financial operations. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across banking and insurance domains.
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement Salesforce Sales Cloud and Lightning solutions tailored to financial services.
- Develop and customize applications using Apex and other Salesforce technologies.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with teams in Life and Annuities Insurance to align solutions with business goals.
- Optimize Finance & Accounting processes through Salesforce capabilities.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3–4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON. What you need to have to be considered:
- 9+ years of experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Lightning, Integration, and Apex development.
- Strong background in customizing Salesforce applications to meet business needs.
- Deep understanding of Life and Annuities Insurance and Finance & Accounting domains.
- Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (preferred).
- Familiarity with core banking processes such as KYC, loan origination, credit scoring, and compliance.
- Salesforce certifications:
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
