Job Summary
Raymond James is seeking a full-time Associate Financial Advisor for one of our independent branches.
This position requires an energetic, ambitious and driven investment professional. The successful candidate must have meticulous attention to detail, possess a positive attitude, and has superior interpersonal skills, as they will be dealing directly with clients.
Specifically, you will:
- Work closely with the lead advisor to manage investment portfolios;
- Deal directly with clients, attend client meeting, present investment ideas and encourage disciplined investor behavior;
- Build, monitor and re-balance customized investment portfolios, in accordance with client’s profile and compliance requirements;
- Assist in research, analysis, asset mix decisions, and investment product selection;
- Execute trades;
- Prepare investment policy statements, investment proposals & client review presentations;
- Provide high quality client service, including phone, email, written & in-person communication;
- Liaise with team to ensure that client portfolios are consistent with clients’ financial plans;
- Maintain high standards of integrity, objectivity and expertise;
- Build a profitable business and attract new clients in partnership with lead advisor; and
- Assist team with administration when required and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications required:
- IIROC licensed, candidate must hold an RR Designation and have completed their CSC, CPH and WME, CIM an asset;
- Business degree with finance focus; and
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in investment and/or financial services industry;
- Experience managing globally diversified portfolios with ETFs, F-class mutual funds and individual securities;
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; and
- Demonstrated ability to attract new clients.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Dataphile, Croesus, FactSet or Morningstar; and
- CFP designation or interest in completing.
