Summary:

This role ensures the readiness and optimal use of the technical machinery and systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Adhere to the requirements of the quality management system with the aim of continuous improvement
  • Perform trouble shooting of the PLC and control network as required
  • Assist with repair and maintenance of equipment and systems
  • Set, adjust, repair, monitor, optimize and operate machines, detecting and correcting defective parts
  • Manage the system, machine manuals and maintenance plans
  • Assist with organizing spare parts inventory as needed
  • Ensure all process control systems and networks remain operational and up to date
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Vocational training, preferably in mechatronics.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of the structure and function of production machinery
  • Knowledge of mechatronics and automation as well as measurement, control and regulation
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming knowledge
