About The Opportunity

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the building, grounds, and all associated building equipment. The Facility Maintenance Lead will oversee a temporary workforce staff that installs, inspects, repairs and maintains building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire systems, compressed air, safety, and waste management. Responsible for all continuous improvement projects along with all related 5S projects. This person will also be a main source for our quality team to work with when preparing for a facility audits.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position.  The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assures all tasks are performed in a safe manner, and comply with all company, local, state, and federal requirements
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide performance feedback
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement timely repairs
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, inspections, and projects.
  • Coordinating deliveries from vendors and suppliers
  • Review and approve vendor work to ensure quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Checking and responding to security and safety issues
  • Keeping an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies
  • Assures compliance with Company’s EAM platform
  • Execute and assure compliance with site’s preventative maintenance program
  • Provides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance direct reports, if applicable
  • Supports operations leaders to develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence
  • Assists with capital projects to enhance efficiencies, improve performance, and meet growth plans, including defining the scope of work, budget, schedule and responsibilities
  • Interacts with key stakeholders to provide technical support and/or resolve equipment reliability issues

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site
  • Knowledge of day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements and management of a manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of the physical environment and full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques for preventing and addressing theft of assets, theft of information, vandalism, sabotage and other threats to a manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing, including its safe usage, maintenance and storage
  • Knowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office setting
  • Frequent walking and standing required
  • Occasional travel required
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

The expected salary range for this position is $22-$26/hour. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic term life, AD&D, Short and Long term disability; EAP; 401(k) retirement savings plan; PTO and paid holidays.
