Job Description

2nd Shift Maintenance Technician 

 

WeatherTech Direct is seeking a well-qualified Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on machines used on the Injection Molding and Thermoforming production process.

  • The base hourly rate of pay starts at $23 per hour or more, depending on experience
  • Additional compensation: $1.00 per hour 2nd shift differential 

 

As a Maintenance Technician, you will

  • Operate various hand and power tools to perform maintenance work and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or robotics components efficiently and in order of priority
  • Carry out assigned Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks
  • Communicate with prior/oncoming shifts regarding any maintenance priorities and status updates
  • Conduct daily maintenance checks and complete daily maintenance tasks
  • Operate a computer to maintain data on maintenance and completed repairs
  • Train new and existing team members on different functions of the work area to ensure all can perform all tasks properly; share knowledge and best practices to help aid efficiency and productivity
  • Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures 
  • Work overtime as business demands
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition while cleaning and maintaining equipment as needed
  • Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualified Candidates will

  • Have at least 2 years of experience performing maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or robotics systems; knowledge of Plastics Injection Molding and/or Thermoforming
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Have a trade school certificate or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance is preferred, not required 
  • Have basic math, measuring and computer skills 
  • Be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics and machinery manuals
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance related to plastics injection molding and/or thermoforming 
  • Possess a high degree of attention and be detail-oriented to prevent accidents, injuries, and quality issues 
  • Have great attendance and punctuality
  • Be an excellent performer; deliver high-quality results consistently
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal and written work orders/instructions in English
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
