Job Description

As a Plastipak Maintenance Technician, you have job stability.  Plastipak is a strong & secure company in a high-demand industry.  And, we’re growing in Champaign.  At Plastipak, you’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment in a clean, well-organized & climate-controlled facility.   

Shift:  Nights 6:45pm – 7:15 am

  • Standard 3-2-2-3 schedule that equates to 15 working days a month
  • Includes 2 long-weekends every month

Pay:  Earn $25 - $32+ per hour

  • $25 - $32 per hour, based on skills & experience
  • Shift differential of $1.00 per hour more for night shift

What You Will Do

  • Preventative maintenance

What You Need

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 3 or more years of experience maintaining manufacturing machines & equipment (engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, etc.).
  • Experience with Nissei equipment
  • Solid hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical working knowledge
  • Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving ability
  • Ability to read & interpret technical & operational documents (manuals, blueprints, schematics)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet with or without reasonable accommodation
