Job Summary:
This is a full-time (35 hours per week) seasonal position. The summer maintenance worker performs manual work including basic grounds maintenance and improvements and assists with more involved tasks and projects.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and some general maintenance experience (mowing, trimming, raking, basic cleaning, painting etc.)
Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Assists with grounds work; including mowing, weeding, cleaning, picking up trash.
2. Painting and cleaning walls or other surfaces.
3. Pressure washing building exteriors.
4. Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading supplies.
5. Assists full-time maintenance workers with various building or equipment repair.
6. Receives verbal instructions from supervisor.
7. Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines.
8. Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
9. Uses equipment and materials properly.
10. consistently at work and on time.
11. Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.

Weight-lift at least 50 pounds regularly, frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds, occasional lift over 100 pounds
Work environment – frequently exposed to moving mechanical part, wet and/or humid weather conditions, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and heat,
Noise level, mild to moderate
Physical Demands-climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing, repetitive arm motion
Vision-acuity, near, and far
