Experience collecting field data for monitoring; documenting field observations; related coursework in biology or chemistry; eligible for qualification via education or experience.

Ecologist/Botanist

IOR for Ecologist 0408 and Botanist 0430; requires degree with specified hours; 1 year specialized experience; may qualify via education or SSA.

Forestry Technician

One year of specialized experience at GS-06 level or graduate education related to forestry; experience with GIS/GPS; field forestry duties; ability to work safely.

Supervisory Staff Law Enforcement Ranger

Must have completed Basic Law Enforcement School; prior law enforcement experience; firearms and defensive tactics; valid driver's license; 52 weeks specialized experience at GS-11; must meet all qualification requirements.

Field Staff Law Enforcement Ranger

U.S. Citizenship; pass pre-employment checks; valid state driver’s license; complete LMPT within 1 year; 40 hours annual in-service training; background/suitability investigation; non-critical sensitive security clearance; pass physicals and PEBs; possible overtime and travel.

Supervisory experience; basic law enforcement training; driver’s license; ability to obtain law enforcement authority; meet GS-12 qualification requirements.

Park Ranger (Off-Highway Vehicle) (Temporary Seasonal)

Park Ranger

Experience traversing expert-level terrain with a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV); meet GS-07 qualification standards including specialized experience or graduate education.

Supervisory Law Enforcement Ranger

Supervisory law enforcement role requiring experience in investigations, enforcement, supervision; must possess delegation authority and appropriate licensure.
