Intern

Internship supporting front desk operations, data entry, and program administration for Howie the Harp Employment programs; requires professional demeanor, good communication, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Program Director

Oversee housing program, lead staff development, manage budgets and records, ensure compliance with funder standards.

Harm Reduction Specialist, IMT

Harm Reduction Specialist

Experience in mental health with co-occurring substance use; Bachelor’s in a health/social field; LMSW preferred; bilingual Spanish optional; fingerprint clearance required.

Building Superintendent

High school diploma required; 2 years training or 3 years related work; 1 year supervisory preferred; overtime may be required; experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting; able to operate common maintenance equipment; able to lift up to 100 lbs; fingerprint clearance; required safety certificates.

Service Coordinator

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred; bilingual Spanish-speaking preferred; strong communication and documentation skills.

Peer Trainer

Designs and delivers peer training; bachelor's degree; NY Peer Certification; strong communication; computer skills; ability to work independently; bilingual candidates encouraged.

Respite Worker - PD

Per Diem Respite Worker

Understanding of the organization’s mission; lived mental health experience required; NY Peer Certification within 90 days; high school diploma or GED; strong communication; ability to work independently and in a team; willingness to work varied shifts.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Licensed Practical Nurse with NYS license, 2+ years in mental health or social services; strong communication; able to work in community settings; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Housing Mobile Team Peer Specialist

NYC-certified peer specialist with lived mental health experience; recovery‑oriented, person-centered approach; flexible schedule; bilingual Spanish-speaking preferred.

Provide engagement and comprehensive support services; person-centered approach; group activities; strong communication; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Senior Service Coordinator

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 2 years working with homelessness, substance use, and/or mental health in relevant settings; strong communication and leadership skills; bilingual Spanish preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years training or 3 years related experience; 1 year supervisory experience preferred; overtime may be required; experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting; HVAC knowledge; operate/maintain machines; fingerprinting clearance; lift up to 100 lbs; certifications in fire alarm and fire safety within 4 months; bilingual candidates encouraged.

Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance tasks including masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting; able to meet deadlines; strong communication; team and independent work; bilingual encouraged.

High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years related trade experience or 3+ years in field; 1+ year supervisory experience preferred; willing to work overtime and support other buildings; able to meet safety and certification requirements.
