Senior Instructor of Adaptive Technology

Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field; three years teaching or rehabilitation experience with Deaf/Blind individuals; knowledge of adaptive technology; computer proficiency.

Direct Support Professional - Wantagh

Direct Support Professional

Part-time role requiring high school diploma/GED and experience with developmentally disabled individuals.

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, Human Services, or related field; 2–3 years DeafBlind or complex disability experience; experience with communication supports and functional skill instruction; travel nationwide.

Job Coach

Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred in Special Education or related field; experience with DeafBlind individuals; ASL proficiency preferred; familiarity with Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS); MS Office; strong interpersonal skills.

Part-time overnight caregiver; CPR/First Aid, AMAP, OPWDD certification; NY driver license; 1 year with DeafBlind/multiple disabilities; HS diploma and 4 years as residence/group home aide; MS Office knowledge.

Direct Support Professional 

High school diploma; valid NY driver’s license; experience with individuals who are DeafBlind or with multiple disabilities preferred; ASL preferred; CPR/First Aid and AMAP certifications required or pursued; willingness to sleep-in as assigned.

Kitchen Helper

High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a commercial/institutional kitchen preferred.

ASL Interpreter

Bachelor’s degree required; completion of Interpreting Training Program (ITP) with RID/NAD written test; RID/NAD NIC certification within 5 years; 2-3 years interpreting experience with DeafBlind or deaf-vision impaired individuals; proficiency in DeafBlind communication; some evenings and travel required.

Orientation and Mobility Specialist 

Master's degree in Blind Rehabilitation with emphasis in Orientation and Mobility; two years' experience preferred; knowledge of braille and sign language preferred.

Tactile ASL Interpreter

Bachelor’s degree required; licensure in NC; RID/NAD NIC knowledge test passed; NIC certification within 5 years; experience with DeafBlind/ Deaf-Visually Impaired; some evening hours and travel.

Placement Specialist

Bachelor’s degree or at least 1 year experience with DeafBlind individuals; ASL proficiency; willingness to use remote platforms.
