Personal Trainer I

Nationally recognized personal training certification; First Aid/CPR/AED and Oxygen Administration; YMCA training programs within 30 days; knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and strength/conditioning.

Lifeguard I

Minimum age 15; CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid; current Lifeguard certificate; Nassau County Lifeguard Certification for Nassau locations; maintain certification standards.

Camp Counselor

Minimum one year of experience with youth; ability to relate to children; Child Abuse Prevention, Health and Safety training within 30 days of hire.

Must be 18+; HS diploma or equivalent required; college credits preferred; minimum one year of experience with youth.

Swim Instructor I

Must be at least 16; CPR/First Aid/AED certifications; YMCA swim instructor skills; YMCA/Red Cross certifications preferred; part-time availability.

Group Leader - New Hyde Park

Group Leader

Must be at least 16 years old; minimum 2 years experience with children; CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to complete YMCA trainings; strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate YMCA mission and programs; capable of working in a fast-paced, flexible environment.

Group Leader - Child Care 

2+ years experience with children; CPR/First Aid preferred or YMCA training; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Group Leader- East Lake Elementary

Group Leader - Lockhart Elementary 

At least 16 years old; 2+ years working with children; CPR/First Aid preferred or YMCA trainings required; ability to convey YMCA mission; strong interpersonal skills.

Assistant Teacher I - Farmingdale

Assistant Teacher I

High school diploma; 1-2 years related preschool experience; CPR/First Aid/AED; ability to relate to diverse groups; assist with curriculum; comply with licensing training.

Group Leader - Huntington 

Minimum 2 years experience with children; CPR/First Aid certifications preferred or to be completed upon hire; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
