Mölnlycke, a medical device manufacturer in Wiscasset, ME, is seeking full-time Turning and Positioning (T&P) Quality Assurance Technician for our Weekend Shift (6:00AM-6:00PM). To support our manufacturing of healthcare products worldwide. We are looking for people who are passionate about helping others and work well in a team based environment.

- The pay rate for this role is $25.28 an hour to start
- $2.00 shift differential between the hours of 5:30pm to 5:30am

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll do:
The Turning and Positioning (T&P) Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for testing and verifying the quality of manufactured Speciality Wound Care products and ensuring the quality system is operating according to 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 requirements and standards.
Testing and verification of manufactured products, includes ensuring product conformance to specifications by conducting physical testing in a controlled laboratory environment in preparation for final release.
QMS system operation includes assisting in the maintenance of quality subsystems such as CAPA, Document Control, Internal Auditing and Supplier Quality and Production and Process Controls. Other duties may include the review or revision of procedures, standards, records, and specifications as required by the Quality Management System.
- Performs physical testing of finished goods in accordance with product specifications and internal sampling plans.
- Reviews all device history records (DHR) prior to release under the authority of Quality Manager or Quality Engineer/Supervisor.
- Performs incoming raw material inspections to ensure compliance with company specifications.
- Performs validation material testing as required.
- Performs data mining activities for trend analysis and improvement projects.
- Assists the Quality Engineer/Supervisor with instrument calibrations to ensure test equipment is maintained as required by the calibration schedule.
- Maintains and reviews applicable quality documents and records for accuracy and compliance with 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 requirements and standards.
- Works with the Quality Engineer/Supervisor to investigate and respond to external customer complaints initiated through the Electronic customer complaint module under the direction of the Quality Manager.
- Creates and monitors the Non-Conformances (NCs) and ensures closure through the Electronic inventory control system under the direction of the Quality Engineer/Supervisor.
- Monitors changes to standard operating procedures and makes recommendations for improvements to those processes.
- Prepares required product release documents and assists with final product verifications prior to shipment.
- Interfaces with other departmental staff members to resolve quality system issues and complaints.
- Assists, when needed with audits of quality system processes related to T&P.
- Supports the effort to implement best practices within job scope; expected to participate in activities designed to improve environmental, health, and safety (EHS), production, and quality.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
What you’ll need:
- Positive Attitude and works well in teams or independently.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office software.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Possess strong ability to perform detailed repetitive tasks with precision.
- Proficient in the use of problem solving tools to analyze and identify root causes and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Proven success working in a team-based environment as well as the ability to meet performance measures with minimal direct supervision and guidance
- Ability to make well-reasoned decisions both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work overtime to ensure production goals are met
- Approximately 25% of the workdays are spent sitting (e.g. data entry, meetings, filling out forms and checklists, etc.)
- Approximately 75% of the workdays are spent walking or standing (e.g. traveling to and from work areas, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Regular handling, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, and grasping
- Close vision and color vision are required
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Experience in production, manufacturing or related environment preferred, but not required.
