Position Summary


Our Santa Cruz Center, located in Nogales, Arizona, is part of a bi-national region that serves one of the western hemisphere’s most vital trade corridors. Students get a solid start on their career paths, and adult learners have flexible options for continuing education.

Position Title: Student Services

Salary: $16.50 / hour 

Eligibility: In order to be eligible to apply for this position, you MUST be eligible for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be a current Pima Community College student. Students can complete the FAFSA at www.studentaid.gov

About the Role

Working in Student Services at the Santa Cruz Center places you at the heart of our bi-national campus community in Nogales. This is a pooled position, meaning one application puts you in front of multiple active departments looking for frontline talent to keep operations running smoothly and support both traditional students and adult learners.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Engagement & Outreach: Promote student activities and assist with event planning, including logistics, set-up, and tear-down for campus outreach events.

  • Creative Marketing: Create engaging handouts, newsletters, and social media content; keep campus bulletin boards updated with the latest resources and opportunities.

  • Student Support & Navigation: Greet visitors and provide helpful information to students and staff. Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining departmental calendars.

  • Departmental Support: Provide general office assistance and work independently on projects that promote student success and resource awareness.

  • Administrative Operations: Ensure daily department tasks are handled professionally to support the smooth delivery of social and financial services.

  • Other Duties as assigned


Job Requirements/Qualifications


  • Communication: Ability to provide clear, helpful, and empathetic information to a diverse population of students and staff.

  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern web applications; comfort using social media and design tools for marketing.

  • Organization & Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and remain dependable with your schedule.

  • Interpersonal Skills: A positive, cooperative attitude with the ability to build relationships and maintain professional ethics.

  • Physical Ability: Readiness to lift and exert up to 25 lbs of force occasionally for event set-up and material distribution.
