Job Summary:
Press operator is responsible for running presses per Work Instructions. This position will load, unload, trim, and stack rubber slabs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Follow Work Instructions
- Correctly load materials into presses
- Unload material from presses
- Trim flash from edge of tile
- Stack tile according to WI
Essential Functions:
- Ability to maintain work area cleanliness and general housekeeping regarding press area
- Ability to read, write, and follow directions in regard to SOP’s, WI’s, Management instructions, and other job-related instructions
- Basic communication skills required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to always operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize, multi-task and work under deadlines
- Ability to perform manual tasks under varying temperatures conditions usually in an indoor manufacturing environment
- Ability to read weigh scales
- Ability to perceive colors and shading
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Semi-moderate to moderate physical activity
- Including but not limited to sitting, standing, hand/arm manipulation, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, seeing, touching/feeling, hearing, and crouching
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
