About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Payments to support large-scale transformation initiatives within global banking and payments ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SWIFT messaging (MT/MX, ISO 20022) and hands-on experience working with the Global Payments Plus (GPP / Global Plus) platform.

You will play a key role in analyzing complex payment message flows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, document, and validate SWIFT payment message flows, including MT and MX formats within Global Plus implementations
  • Perform detailed impact analysis and data mapping to support ISO 20022 migration and structured address requirements
  • Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to gather and refine requirements
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and process documentation
  • Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting, ensuring accurate payment processing outcomes
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards, including ISO 20022 compliance
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on system behavior, message standards, and changes in compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services, with a strong focus on payments
  • Deep expertise in SWIFT messaging (MT/MX formats) and ISO 20022 standards
  • Hands-on experience with Global Payments Plus (GPP / Global Plus) or similar payments platforms
  • Strong understanding of payment processing workflows, settlement processes, and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to perform data mapping, impact assessments, and validation activities
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior consulting experience working with tier-1 banks or large financial institutions
  • Exposure to payment modernization or ISO 20022 migration program
  • Familiarity with end-to-end payments lifecycle (wire, cross-border, clearing systems, etc.)

Work Mode

This role is Remote (USA-based). Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is expected to be between $86,000 USD -  $101,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and bonuses.
