Job Description

The Account Manager leads the execution of our clients’ marketing strategy and plans, working to exceed client expectations – on schedule and on budget. You will work with writers and designers, source content, and create compelling offers while ensuring Intersection and its clients are in complete alignment.

You have a desire to make great things happen for other people. You will apply marketing strategies and tactics to create impactful marketing programs for your clients while growing professionally and working with a cross-functional team of marketers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Working alongside the Managing Director to develop and execute marketing strategies to generate client growth and deliver a high Return On Investment (ROI).
  2. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships and gain a strong understanding of their industries and business models to identify opportunities for your clients.
  3. Resolve challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
  4. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions to meet customer needs and objectives.
  5. Properly communicate requirements and coordinate with Intersection creative team members.
  6. Prioritize and manage multiple projects in Intersection’s project management software; ensuring project dates and timelines are kept up to date and time is accurately logged to gather project and deliverable cost/value.
  7. Educate clients on marketing processes and execution best practices.
  8. Communicate opportunities to improve the client experience with Intersection leadership.
  9. Stay informed about marketing industry developments and translate them to impact your clients.
  10. Practice your craft and build your brand by contributing to Intersection’s marketing activities.
  11. Make great things happen for other people.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proven relationship-building skills and client communication experience.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively based on customer requirements.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Desire to learn and keep up with inbound marketing and digital marketing developments and best practices.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; major or significant coursework in marketing, business, communications, journalism, or other relevant field.
  • At least two years of related work experience highly preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
