POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Manager is an intermediate-level sales professional who independently manages a defined portfolio of B2B customers in an assigned vertical. This role goes beyond order-taking to proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and support strategic account planning. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and grow a portfolio of mid-size B2B accounts with a focus on revenue expansion and retention
  • Proactively identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities across the account base
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key contacts to understand project pipelines and upcoming needs
  • Prepare detailed quotes, proposals, and presentations independently for standard and custom projects
  • Negotiate pricing and terms within approved guidelines to close deals efficiently
  • Develop account penetration plans and contribute to pipeline forecasting on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, and project management to deliver on client commitments
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and leverage customer data to identify growth opportunities and support sales forecasting.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and problem resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business development, or similar field. 
  • 2–4 years of B2B sales or account management experience; industrial, government/municipalities, or commercial product sales experience preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quota
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Revenue growth within assigned vertical 
  • Upsell/cross-sell revenue as a percentage of total portfolio
  • Account expansion and development
  • Pipeline accuracy and forecast attainment
