    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. High School Diploma or equivalent
    2. Associate or Bachelor's Degree in business, preferred
    3. Experience in financial data, accounting, bookkeeping or technical training certification
    4. Familiar with automated fund accounting principles and accounts payable, preferred
    5. Knowledge and application of established policies and procedures of the USFR and Arizona State Procurement Rules, preferred
    6. Familiar with accounting software or Infinite Visions Accounting System, preferred
    7. Working knowledge of computer word-processing and Microsoft Office applications, and Google.
    8. Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Completes various account specialist duties aligned with account payable and purchasing established policies and procedures, USFR, and Arizona State Procurement Rules.
    2. Verify and process all incoming documentation for mathematical accuracy and other irregularities.
    3. Process and distribute disbursements of student/auxiliary accounts.
    4. Prepare appropriate school, district, county, state and federal reports.
    5. Process, file, and retrieve routine paperwork.
    6. Perform routine typing tasks, and track and enter data as required.
    7. Verify and process daily bank deposits for high school.
    8. Enter data and collect student textbook debt.
    9. Manage Student Activity Account funds.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to reach with hands and arms, sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend as necessary. The employee may lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 10 pounds and could occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. The employee will read correspondence and computer screens, and use the telephone.   

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Indoor office environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have substantial contact with parents, students, staff, and the public.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
    The Account Specialist reports to the School Principal/Site Administrator. The Account Specialist will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions.  All elements of good human relations will be practiced.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
    INITIAL WAGE PLACEMENT PLAN: Starting at $15.85 per hour
    WORK YEAR:            12 Month/8 hours
