Summary
Responsibilities
- Ensure that financial reports are completed on time, in accordance with GAAP principles, and that they accurately reflect financial position.
- Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with Accounting principles and reporting schedules to ensure the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position.
- Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and Accounting statements to provide senior management with accurate and timely information for making financial decisions.
- Provide technical Accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
- Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
Additional Qualifications
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of modern accounting and office methods and procedures
- Must possess a solid foundation in accounting fundamentals
- CPA certification or CPA exam eligible
- Experience with Finance ERP system
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others to obtain, share, verify and validate information
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
