Job description:

Job Summary

This role will primarily focus on inventory-related accounting, including clearing discrepancies between inventory records, accounts payable and accounts receivable, received inventory, and third-party warehouse records. The position will also support the migration of our inventory management system from QuickBooks and Access to Fishbowl and QuickBooks software. This will require close coordination with internal teams and external partners.

After the system transition, this role will continue to support coordination between accounting, logistics, and our third-party warehouses to ensure inventory and payables remain aligned and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile inventory records with vendor invoices and accounts payable
• Reconcile inventory records with customer invoices and accounts receivable
• Investigate and resolve inventory-related discrepancies
• Support the migration of inventory tracking from QuickBooks to Fishbowl
• Maintain accurate records throughout the transition process
• Coordinate with third-party warehouses and logistics partners to verify received inventory
• Assist with month-end processes related to inventory and payables

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally in product-based or wholesale or import businesses
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and reconciliation
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop required; experience with Fishbowl and Access is a plus
• Familiarity with working alongside third-party logistics or warehouse partners
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
