Senior Manager – Accounting and Actuarial Advisory

A Senior Manager at CFGI works closely with insurance executives for strategic clients of various sizes. With an entrepreneurial mindset, the senior manager will be across from several expertise: Data analytics, technical and actuarial modelling, IA enablement. She/He will lead projects and collaborate with clients in insurance industry (in France and beyond, as applicable).

What you might expect:

  • Supporting (re)insurers in data-intensive, highly regulated environments through automation and advanced analytics, delivering actionable tools (dashboards, insights, and benchmarks) to drive faster, more reliable decisions across transactions, product development, and risk modelling.
  • Driving client deliverables working in international context for French-based and foreign clients ((re)insurers, Insurtech, brokers, International financial institutions, etc.) related to complex accounting and risk modelling issues.
  • Contributing to transformation and operational optimization initiatives, through organizational diagnostics, operating model reviews, cost reduction programs, and the automation and industrialization of processes (RPA, control automation, data quality).
  • Working in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver pragmatic, high‑impact solutions that balance regulatory compliance, performance, and operational efficiency for insurance clients.
  • Play an active role in the firm’s other broader recruiting efforts, client relationship building and business development efforts. 

 

Who you are:

  • Master’s degree in Actuarial Science with French actuarial qualification, or graduate of a top-tier French engineering school (Polytechnique, CentraleSupélec, Mines, Ponts, etc.)
  • Strong leadership skills and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
  • Proven experience in complex international technical advisory assignments (actuarial, risk modelling, transactions, and finance transformation) within the insurance/reinsurance industry
  • Demonstrated experience in applying advanced data analytics
  • Strong expertise in actuarial and computational modelling
  • At least 7 years of successful experience within a Big Four or top-tier strategy firm in France in the above areas
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset

Senior Manager – Conseil Comptable et Support Opérationnel
Senior Managers at CFGI work closely with the senior management of CAC 40, mid-cap, and start-up companies. They lead project teams and collaborate with clients and their external auditors (including Big 4 firms) on all aspects of accounting engagements, from report writing to developing client relationships and driving business development.

What you might expect:
·       Interact with clients’ executive team and auditors, serving as a subject matter expert, leading clients through complex accounting issues and driving conclusions.  
·       Lead client engagement and own client delivery on operational due diligence for complex transactions (i.e. – IPO’s, acquisitions and divestitures, stock offerings, debt raises).
·       Drive client deliverables of financial and regulatory information in accordance IFRS standards and meeting regulatory requirements of French and EU markets (i.e., AMF filings, ESEF compliance, and EU financial disclosure).
·       Serve as a subject matter expert on projects related to new IFRS standards and other European accounting regulations.
·       Lead process improvement projects and implementation of changes.
·       Mentor managers and consultants, acting as a moral and ethical model, fostering engagement team professional growth, and providing constructive and actionable feedback. 
·       Lead firm initiatives and identify areas for improvements. 
·       Play an active role in the firm’s recruiting efforts, client relationship building and business development efforts. 
 
Who you are:
·       A Master’s degree with a curriculum in Accounting – A French accounting designation (e.g., DEC, DSCG) or a CPA and/or MBA (or equivalent, Grande Ecole de Commerce ou d’Ingénieurs) is highly preferred.
·       At least eight years of experience in public accounting or industry accounting/finance.
·       Strong knowledge of IFRS, French GAAP, and U.S. GAAP (a plus), with familiarity in public company reporting.
·       Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to integrate seamlessly into teams and interact effectively with clients and auditors.
·       Ability to identify client needs and deliver solutions, building strong and trusted client relationships.
·       Strong analytical skills and the ability to lead client engagements and drive successful outcomes.
