Full-Time Position
Naples Heritage Golf & Country Club (NHGCC), located in Naples, Florida, is seeking to add a talented and driven, full-time Accounting Assistant for its active country club community. The community is made up of 799 units ranging from single family homes, condos, and villas. Amenities include: a beautiful 18-hole Audubon Certified golf course, fitness center, tennis/pickleball, bocce, dining and an active social calendar. NHGCC is a “welcoming environment in a pristine setting.”
Position Summary
The Accounting Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily financial and administrative operations of the Club. This position is responsible for accounts payable processing, office administration, and member service support while providing day-to-day support for the reception function.
Essential Responsibilities
• Process and maintain accounts payable functions.
• Audit vendor invoices and ensure proper approvals have been obtained.
• Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts and enter transactions into Jonas Software.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with payments and prepare checks for management approval.
• Assist with maintaining accounts payable aging reports and check registers.
• Assist with managing vendor records, W-9 documentation, certificates of insurance, and warranty files.
• Process and track credit memos.
• Assist with reconciling monthly credit card statements and record transactions.
• Make and record bank deposits.
• Assist with daily sales posting, member payments, and other accounts receivable functions.
• Assist with month-end close activities and audit preparation.
• Assist with tracking capital project expenditures and maintain project cost records.
• Assist with daily administrative operations of the office.
• Support accounting and administrative departments with clerical functions.
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide member assistance as needed.
• Provide front desk coverage during absences or peak operational periods.
• Complete special projects and other assignments as directed.
Reporting Relationship
Reports directly to the Assistant Controller.
Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Jonas Club Software preferred.
Compensation
Hourly position, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
