POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accounting Assistant position is an outstanding opportunity for a highly proficient, quick-learner who possesses a strong attention to detail, is computer savvy, and who will thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse responsibilities in accounting and administration. This role is focused on accounts payable and accounts receivable, among other supporting accounting tasks and responsibilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
· Assist with monthly billing to clients and lead all follow-up collection efforts.
· Respond timely and professionally to client and vendor inquiries.
· Create and update status reports on aged receivables.
· Assist the Accounting team with the monthly close, as needed.
· Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
· Review and process expense reimbursements and check requests, including cashier’s checks.
· Input cash collections and other data entry tasks.
· Assist with regulatory compliance for vendors.
· Review, reconcile, and enter credit card transactions; follow up on receipts and transaction approvals.
· Create, analyze, and update spreadsheets regarding software licenses and other key expense accounts by reviewing the general ledger and specific invoices.
· Lead the administration of vendor Form W-9s; assist with annual Form 1099 processing.
· Maintain complete files and documentation (electronic and paper).
· Assist with auditing client billing rates.
· Ability to integrate new responsibilities and special projects as required.
· Other projects and duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
· Integrity, diplomacy, professionalism & confidentiality a must.
· Ability to multi-task, remain organized, and take responsibility for assigned duties while managing your own time effectively and efficiently.
· Possess strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of Windows operating computers & network organization.
· Must be very reliable and be able to work independently as well as with the Accounting team.
· Strong aptitude for analyzing data and researching until questions or issues are resolved.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, or related field.
· Demonstrated strong academic success.
· 1 - 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable preferred.
· Moderate QuickBooks experience preferred.
· Intermediate computer literacy using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe.
WORK LOCATION AND CONDITIONS
· In-person at corporate office in San Diego.
· Typically, no travel required.
· Job Type: Full-time; non-exempt.
· Shift days and times are set by the company.
· Some overtime may be required (< 5 hours week) during busier times.
REQUIRED TRAININGS
Internal Regulatory and Quality System training required for G&A.

It reflects the range that StatRad reasonably expects to pay for this position at various levels of experience. The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s relevant experience, unique skills and abilities, education, market demand, and employer business practices, and will be discussed at the offer stage with the selected candidate. Starting Hourly Pay is $24.00-$27.00 per hour for the ideal candidate.
