Job Description

Accounting Clerk

Our office teams keep the financial engine of our dealerships running with accuracy and integrity.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our dealership's accounting and administrative operations. Working closely with the Office Controller and Office Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow within a stable, well-established organization.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile bank statements, schedules, and general ledger accounts.
  • Post and verify accounting entries, deposits, and journal entries.
  • Assist with vehicle inventory accounting and dealership financial reporting.
  • Review and maintain supporting documentation for accounting transactions.
  • Process refunds, customer payments, and vendor invoices.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and filing systems.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
  • Support dealership managers and employees with accounting-related questions.
  • Cross-train across office positions to ensure coverage and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Previous accounting, bookkeeping, dealership office, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with dealership management software is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial and personal data in accordance with all applicable privacy regulations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
