Accounting Coordinator

Position Summary

The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. The primary focus of this role is managing the accounts payable process while also supporting accounts receivable activities and assisting with general accounting and administrative functions.

Accounts Payable

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
  • Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments.
  • Maintain vendor records and documentation.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries professionally.
  • Assist with month-end AP close activities.

Accounts Receivable Support

  • Apply customer payments.
  • Assist with collections and customer account inquiries.
  • Research payment discrepancies and short pays.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records.

Accounting & Administrative Support

  • Assist with purchase order administration and vendor documentation.
  • Maintain product and vendor information within the ERP system.
  • Support month-end reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assist with audits and other accounting projects.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting department.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or bookkeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
