About Us
Georgia Vision Institute is a privately owned, multi-location ophthalmology practice with 4 clinics and a surgery center serving West Georgia. We are a growing organization focused on delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining a strong, family-oriented culture.
We offer a great work environment, work-life balance, and the opportunity to be part of a team that values accountability, growth, and doing things the right way.

Position Overview
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to take full ownership of our accounting function. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring accurate financials, maintaining clean books, and providing reliable reporting to support business decisions.
This position will start focused on accounting and reporting, with the opportunity to grow into broader financial operations (AP/AR, payroll oversight, and process improvement) as systems are refined.

Key Responsibilities
Own and manage all aspects of QuickBooks across multiple entities
Ensure all financial data is accurate, complete, and properly classified (by location, provider, and service line)
Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts
Maintain a consistent monthly close process
Generate and review monthly P&L reports by location
Identify, investigate, and explain changes in financial performance
Support quarterly provider productivity reporting
Ensure payroll and expenses are properly allocated
Work directly with leadership to provide clear, reliable financial information
Identify inefficiencies and help transition manual processes into more streamlined systems

Requirements
Strong experience with QuickBooks (required)
Proven ability to manage and maintain accurate financial records
Experience with account reconciliations and monthly close processes
Strong understanding of financial reporting (P&L, expenses, trends)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify inconsistencies
Ability to explain financial information clearly and concisely
Tech-savvy and comfortable improving systems and workflows
Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing organization

What We’re Looking For
Someone who takes ownership of their work and ensures things are done correctly
Someone who can identify issues and proactively fix them
Someone who understands how accounting supports real business operations—not just data entry
A team player who fits a family-oriented culture and communicates well with leadership

What We Offer
Competitive salary
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Health, dental, and vision benefits
Privately owned, family-oriented practice
Great work atmosphere
Work-life balance
Opportunity for growth within the organization

Location
Carrollton, GA (in-person position)

If you’re someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with numbers, and wants to take ownership of a critical role in a growing organization, we’d like to hear from you.
